Moving into your new home should be an exciting and rewarding experience - Customer Care and satisfaction is the reason we build homes. At KCM and Devonshire Homes, we take our clients' satisfaction very seriously, because at the end of the day, their happiness is our business. We want to ensure that the houses we build are places our customers are proud to call home, not just on moving day, but long after they've settled in. To continue our outstanding customer service experience, we provide walkthroughs and inspections so that any issues can be addressed efficiently and effectively. New Home Orientation (Pre-Possession Walkthrough)

Before you even take possession, we will schedule a walkthrough so that you can get acquainted with your new home. During the walkthrough, your service manager will show you everything you will need to know about using and maintaining the various systems in the house. We encourage you to ask your service manager questions, and this is a great time to go over any last details that need to be addressed.

Possession Walkthrough

Congratulations! Today is the day when your service manager will give you the keys to your new home! During this session, we will take the time to make sure you understand your new home's warranty and will once again go over any details that were identified during your New Home Orientation.

60 Day Warranty Inspection

Once you've lived in your home for 60 days, your service manager will contact you to schedule a walkthrough at your house and discuss possible items and/or issues you may have noticed. With your service manager there in person, we can ensure that these  items are rectified promptly, allowing your home to return to the finished state you have grown to love.

1 Year Warranty Inspection

After living in your home for one year, your service manager will schedule a visit so that you can talk about your experiences over the past year. After  living in a home for a period of time, some areas of the house may require attention. At this time, our Customer Care Service Manager will make final adjustments to your home and repair the areas that require attention. Once your 1 year warranty period with KCM and Devonshire Homes is completed, our relationship with you doesn't end - you are NOT alone. KCM and Devonshire Homes provides the home owner with Alberta New Home Warranty coverage, which continues for 2, 5 and 10 years respectively. The Alberta New Home Warranty Program gives our home owners the “1-2-5-10” year coverage. This warranty coverage consists of:

  • 1 Year Labour & Materials
  • 2 Years Distribution systems
  • 5 Years Building Envelope
  • 10 Years Structural
